Boris the Siberian Husky

Boris the Siberian Husky

People across Britain rushed to close their windows, secure their garden furniture, and tie down anything that looked remotely capable of flying away.

But there was one creature who seemed to think…

“What a fantastic day!”

His name was…

Boris, a two-year-old Siberian Husky.

The moment his owner opened the front door just a crack…

Boris shot outside like a rocket.

“Woooohooooo!”

his owner shouted.

“Boris! Come back!”

Unfortunately, Boris assumed his owner was inviting him to play.

He immediately began chasing leaves flying through the air with the excitement of a puppy on Christmas morning.

The wind was so powerful that people could barely stand upright.

Yet Boris was happily charging into the gale with the biggest grin on his face.

A television reporter covering the storm couldn’t believe his eyes.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” he announced live on air,

“We’ve just discovered the only living creature actually enjoying this storm!”

The camera swung around…

There was Boris spinning in circles trying to catch twigs that were flying through the air.

Moments later, he spotted a plastic shopping bag floating across the street.

To Boris…

It was the greatest toy ever invented.

Children watching safely from their windows burst into laughter.

Adults shouted,

“Get back inside!”

But Boris thought they were cheering him on.

So he ran even faster.

The powerful wind stretched his ears backwards until he looked more like a small aeroplane than a dog.

Soon afterwards…

Meteorologists became confused.

“Our weather radar is tracking an object travelling at nearly 90 kilometres per hour.”

A police helicopter was sent to investigate.

A few minutes later the pilot radioed back.

“It’s not roof debris…”

“…it’s a Siberian Husky chasing a tennis ball.”

Meanwhile…

The rest of Britain was hiding indoors.

But Boris had become an overnight internet sensation.

The hashtags

#StormDog

and

#WindPoweredBoris

quickly became the number one trending topics across the United Kingdom.

Even a wind turbine company contacted his owner.

“We’d love Boris to become our new ambassador.”

“He appears to love the wind more than we do.”

When the storm finally passed, a reporter asked Boris,

“Were you frightened by the storm?”

Boris tilted his head…

Looked at the microphone…

And barked once.

“Woof!”

His owner translated.

“I wasn’t chasing the storm… I genuinely thought the wind was throwing toys for me.”

From that day on…

Whenever Britain issues another severe storm warning…

Everyone rushes indoors.

Except Boris.

He sits patiently by the front door with his lead in his mouth, wagging his tail excitedly as if asking,

“Is the wind strong enough for another game yet?” 🐺🌪️😂
